I am open to conversation and dialogue with you Howard. I would love to make that happen. I’ve said so for years. I would love to do that whether in person or online somehow. My only issue ever has been that when someone approaches me with a presumption of bad faith on my part — which is what I felt happened once upon a time — it certainly makes it harder to figure out what that dialogue would look like. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t like to do it though. Dialogue on these issues can’t (or shouldn’t) devolve into an assessment of whether or not I, or you, or anyone else you critique (possibly justly, in my case as well, by the way) are legitimate commentators, or really doing activism, or really sincere, etc. That’s not a dialogue about the issues. It’s a dialogue about individual personalities who happen to be in this work. It moves nothing forward at all. If a dialogue can happen where it isn’t about that, then I’m completely on board with it.
Hit me up with an email so we don’t hijack this thread with our stuff, and I’d be willing to discuss it with you.
