News Flash: Tucker Carlson is Really, Really Racist
Consider this my entry in the understatement of the year contest
Tucker Carlson would like to know Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson’s LSAT score.
Because Tucker Carlson is an asshole.
And an incredibly enormous racist — so there’s that.
Despite Jackson’s academic and professional accomplishments, Carlson — the poster child for snark, white grievance, and a perpetually furrowed brow — wants to know if she genuinely deserved the opportunities she’s had in life.
This, coming from a guy whose family’s financial station allowed him to attend La Jolla Country Day School, a Swiss boarding school from which he was expelled, and St. George’s in Rhode Island, where his big accomplishment was dating the headmaster’s daughter, whom he later married.
All before heading off to Trinity College — where he spent most of his time drunk, by his own admission — then being rejected for employment by the CIA and settling on journalism as a fall-back career.
In other words, Tucker Carlson is a guy who would probably do well to speak less of things like merit and what it means to earn one’s place in the world. If one were to look up the definition of the word “meritocracy,”…
