The enslaved person who committed the act would be killed in all likelihood or run, yes…but those non-rebelling enslaved persons would be left behind, and would be held in bondage on behalf of the children if they remained alive. They would not be free because the actual owner was dead, especially if the child was, say, 17 or 18 and armed and capable of enforcing the existing law themselves with the help of a local militia…the moral righteousness of the scenario is absolute as a hedge against continued enslavement of self and others…My guess is, you don’t even think the owner himself/herself should have been killed…
