There’s a Simpler Explanation Than Politics for the Killing of Charlie Kirk

Although everyone wants to blame the other side, the real reason may be more personal and frankly even more tragic than that

Let’s be honest, shall we?

Since the murder of Charlie Kirk, we’ve all been more than a little too quick to assign blame.

Not to the actual shooter, Tyler Robinson, who obviously bears responsibility, but to whoever comprises our political opposition.

And so immediately, supporters of Kirk insisted the “radical left” had killed him and that it was time for retaliation, civil war, or even, in Stephen Miller’s demented terms, the designation of the Democratic Party as a “domestic extremist organization” — which would set up the possibility of all but banning the only major opposition party in America.

Almost as quickly, and armed with a healthy dose of wishful thinking, many of us on the left jumped to the exact opposite conclusion, deciding he must be a Nick Fuentes-inspired Groyper, who hated Kirk because he wasn’t right-wing enough and was too cozy with the Jews whom Fuentes blames for pretty much everything.
